Gluttony Night honored; 2010 schedule finalized

Reading, PA – MLB.com business writer Ben Hill has named the Reading Phillies Gluttony Nights among his Top 10 promotions for 2009.

During the all-you-can-eat feeding frenzies, held during games on May 19 and August 26, the combined units of cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pizza, French fries, funnel cake, ice cream and soda consumed amounted to 39,239.

Hill, who writes the weekly feature “Promotion Preview” and keeps up with the latest trends on the business side of the game in “Ben’s Biz Blog”, one of MLB.com’s Top 100 blogs, is asking for fan votes to determine which of the Top 10 promos will be named Promotion of the Year.
